Vayeghan Litigation is headed by Mo Vayeghan (Pronunciation vay-gen) who is an Ivy League educated lawyer and a former B.C. Crown Prosecutor.

Mr. Vayeghan is a nationally recognized lawyer, whose knowledge and experience have been heard through legal commentary provided to media outlets such as CBC News: The National, The Vancouver Sun, The National Post, and The Star.

Mr. Vayeghan regularly defends individuals charged with a variety of Canadian criminal law offences, such as international drug trafficking, trafficking and possession of drugs and firearms, fraud, and various violent and sexual offences. The Firm also acts for individuals facing civil forfeiture proceedings as well as prosecution for BC Securities Act violations. In addition, the Firm acts for individuals seeking humanitarian asylum in Canada and defends those facing extradition for serious criminality.

Mr. Vayeghan is a skilled courtroom litigator with a strong understanding of Canadian criminal law, search and seizure law, financial prosecutions, humanitarian asylum proceedings, and the law of extraditions. During his former career as a B.C. Crown Prosecutor, Mr. Vayeghan regularly argued cases on behalf of the Crown. Mr. Vayeghan has also worked alongside prosecutors on sensitive criminal law appeals to be heard before the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Mr. Vayeghan obtained his first law degree from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law where was the recipient of several awards for high academic achievement. He spent the final year of his law school at the University of British Columbia Allard School of Law, where he served as a Deputy Editor of the UBC International Law Journal. He then went on to earn a Master of Law degree from Columbia Law School in New York City, widely regarded as one of the leading law schools in the world. Mr. Vayeghan obtained his Bachelors of Arts from Simon Fraser University, graduating with Distinction for his high academic achievement. 

At Columbia Law School, he was trained by accomplished lawyers such as the current judge of the United States Court of Appeals and the Director of Human Rights Watch. During this time, he served as Editor of the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law, a prominent law review publication devoted to examining complex international law problems. Mr. Vayeghan has published on Canadian criminal law and international criminal law. In the representation of all his clients, he enjoys the unique ability to draw from his excellent understanding of Canadian and American criminal and constitutional law to make impactful arguments.

Mr. Vayeghan has obtained training at The Bronx Defenders, in New York City. This is an organization renowned for providing high caliber criminal defence, civil, and immigration law representation to individuals facing serious matters.

Mr. Vayeghan is a member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society, and the American Bar Association.
